Pastor Darrell A. Hudson Sr. is a native of Memphis, Tennessee. He is the youngest boy of thirteen (13) children born to the late Rev. & Mrs. Clarence Hudson Sr. His grandfather and father were the first spiritual influences in his life as men of God who preached the gospel. He is married to former Minister Patsy Billingsley of Hampton, Virginia and they have three sons, Lloyd, Darrell Jr, David and one daughter Patrice.

Pastor Hudson was educated in the Memphis Public School system. He graduated May 1987, from Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technical Aeronauctics. In May of 2011, Pastor Hudson earned a Master of Divinity Degree from Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology on the campus of Virginia Union University located in Richmond, Virginia graduating Cum Laude. He is presently enrolled in a Doctoral Degree program in Christian Leadership & Renewal at Regent University located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

He has traveled to Israel and Rome while on active duty in the United States Navy to tour the Holy Land and Vatican. He has visited the Holy Sepulcher and personally witnessed his fellow shipmates being baptized in the Jordan River by the chaplain onboard the USS Nassau. He is a missionary who annually travel on foreign mission teams to Haiti with Emmanuel Baptist Church in Newport News, Virginia.

In February 2018, he accepted the call to serve as pastor of the Morning Glory Baptist Church, Gloucester, Virginia. Formerly he was an Associate Minister at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hampton, VA where he preaches and teach the evangelism class under the tutelage of Dr. Walter R. Dean. He was previously an Associate Minister at the New Grafton Baptist Church in Newport News, VA where he was ordained to preach the gospel January 2011, under his pastor Dr. Michael L. Sumler. He retired from the United States Navy in December 2007, after serving faithfully for twenty years in the military. He is currently employed by the federal government as a Financial Technician, where he provides traveling arrangements for Military SeaLift Command personnel in Norfolk, Virginia.

Pastor Hudson minister with integrity and is thankful for his previous assignment to preside over the Sunday, Night Live Gospel service on board the USS Harry S Truman CVN-75 an aircraft carrier. Under the leadership of Pastor Hudson, this ministry grew from 75 to approximately 400 Sailors and Marines in regular attendance.
