Pastor Ronald W. Gayle Sr. has been appointed to Zion Poplars Baptist Church, 7000 T.C. Walker Road Gloucester Virginia.

In June of 2017, the Holy Spirit led Pastor Gayle and his wife to move to Gloucester Virginia for a brand-new life from Elkins Park, Pa., where he was Pastor of Christ Fellowship Christian Church in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Pastor Gayle spent 20 years in the military with the United States Marine Corps. and the United States Navy where he retired after 20 years of faithful service.

Pastor Gayle is happily married to Angela Gayle of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. They are a blended family with 8 children, all grown and living on their own. Angela is a Godly woman and has retired from the United States Navy after faithfully serving our country for 20 years.

Pastor Gayle was born in Newport News Virginia and moved to Philadelphia when he was two years old. His father the late Thomas, known as Wilton Gayle of Ware Neck Virginia and his Mother Mary Willis-Gayle of Mathews Virginia. The nephew of Mr. & Mrs. Leslie and Wilnet Willis and Mr. and Mrs. Anderson and Ann Willis also of Mathews Virginia.

His sister Gloria Jean Gayle. His late Grandfather Walter Earl Willis and grandmother Alice Irene Winder of Hudgins Virginia. His Aunt the late Julia Gayle-Grimes, and his grandfather the late Peter Gayle and the nephew of the late Moses Gayle Sr., of Ware Neck Virginia. Pastor Gayle is also the nephew of the late Warner Smith who was Pastor of Zion Poplars from 1945 to 1990. (45 years). History tells us that Pastor Albert T. Gayle was the Pastor of Zion Poplars Baptist Church from 1883 to 1900. Not know if Pastor Gayle is related but what a legacy. Glory be to God
