Chris is excited to be called as Newington Baptist’s new Senior Pastor!
Chris was born in Fairfax County, Va. and graduated from Va. Tech where he earned undergraduate degrees in both Broadcast Communication and History.
He began ministry with Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) where he served seven years as a radio producer working directly with Dr. Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade.
As well, Chris worked on local college campuses in both Orlando and was Eastern Pa. director.
Chris graduated from Bethel Seminary with a Master of Divinity in Transformational Ministry Leadership.
He has previously served at five churches (MN, MD, VA, & PA) in a variety of ministry positions, before arriving at Newington in July of 2022.
Chris has served as an Outreach Pastor; Youth Pastor; Small Groups pastor; Children & Family Ministry Pastor and a Senior Pastor in over 22+ years of ministry.
Chris has been married to Angie for 25+ years and has two college sons.
Nathan is a senior at Waynesburg (Pa) Univ. in Sports information and Josh is a sophomore Aerospace Engineering major at Va. Tech.
In his free time, Pastor Chris enjoys exercising and rooting on his favorite sports teams in D.C.
