Pastor Patrick O. Billups accepted his call to preach in 2007. God had previously blessed him with the position as minister of music in 2006. As a minister in training, Patrick continued the study of ministry by serving in many different ministries & capacities in conjunction with continuing education.
In November of 2009 New Creation Ministries officially recognized the call of God on his life and granted him a license to preach as well as a license as Minister of Music. Throughout the journey of preparation for ministry Pastor Billups has served in many ministries and been honored with many recognitions.
In 2010 Pastor Billups graduated from Christopher Newport University with a BA in Music with a Minor in Religious Studies. In 2012 Pastor Billups was ordained and appointed to a level of pastoral leadership. Pastor Billups and his family felt the mandate to plant a church in Mathews VA, and established RELEVANT CHURCH in 2014.
Pastor Billups and Relevant Church currently serve under the covering of Bishop Eugene V. Reeves, Presiding Bishop of Eagles Rock Communion of Christian Leaders.
Pastor Billups is happily married to his wife of over 10 years, Carmaleta, and has two wonderful twin boys (Gracen & Micah). God has been truly faithful, and Pastor Billups and his family are excited to see what he does next!
